We have had reports of people trying residents door handles with the hope of them being unlocked. This has occurred on Green Meadow, Westhoughton.

We are actively patrolling the area to identify and arrest those responsible, but we ask that you work with us to keep your home secure. 

·  Close and lock your doors and windows, even if you are just in the garden. 

·  Hide all keys away from the letterbox in a secure place.

·  Draw the curtains when you go out, and leave valuables locked away.

·  Keep an eye on your neighbours' property and encourage them to do the same for you. 

·  Register valuables online with selectadna.co.uk 

And please report any suspicious activity by calling 101 or in an emergency, always dial 999.
