Bury Trading Standards have received a report from Bury Council housing reporting a male knocking on resident’s doors claiming to be from Bury Council. The male is wanting to gain entry by claiming he was there to check for damp and cracks in the home, etc. This male is NOT from Bury Council and was not wearing any identification.

The male is described as a white male, approximately late 30’s/ early 40’s, dark hair, and facial hair, wearing a light grey t-shirt and dark trousers and carrying a blue clipboard.
