crime prevention advice

Good Morning

How easy is it to access the rear of your property? Are the Doors LOCKED and windows SECURE?

Ensure yard gates are locked and wheelie bins are secure.

Don’t advertise your possessions to thieves.

Remember to:

·  Lock doors and windows and set burglar alarms

·  Make sure house and car keys are kept out of sight

·  Never leave items of value such as laptops and mobile phones on view, and avoid being seen carrying one - conceal them in another bag.

·  Remember to make your home look and sound occupied, use timers for lights and radios

·  Remember to shred bank statements etc

·  Protect mobile phones and electrical items by registering them free of charge visit www.immobilise.com

·  Smart phones and tablets can be tracked using tracking software. Protect your property by registering phones, laptops and tablets now.

·  If anyone suspicious knocks on the door contact the non emergency 101 number as it could be a burglar scoping out the area.

·  To report information anonymously phone Crimestoppers 0800 555 111

Your house is a shop window to a thief.  Don’t encourage window-shopping!

Should residents have any issues please do not hesitate to contact us on:

999 - emergency

101- non-emergency
