Good morning, 

In the early hours of the 20th Jan 2025, a call had been made to Police to report that a group of males were trying car door handles around the Edgeley area and appeared to be attempting to break into them. They were seen to be riding around on two scooters but made off before Officers arrived in the area. 

Witnesses then came forward with a registration number of one of the motorbikes, checks confirmed this to be a stolen bike from the evening before. The other one was believed to have been stolen moments before the call was made to the police.

Stockport CCTV have monitored their cameras and captured 2 males on bikes in Brinnington Car Park and notified patrols who have made their way to the area. 

Patrols have attended and found a 17-year-old with two motorbikes, both confirmed stolen. Male arrested for theft of motor vehicle and vehicle interference and has now been bailed.
