Charity Shop Theft Arrest


On 11/02/2025 at approximately 0545hrs, Officers were made aware by Trafford CCTV control room of a potential burglary in process involving a vehicle.
The location was outside of a Charity shop on Green Lane in Ashton on Mersey, Sale, with the male sighted to be in possession of a set of bolt cutters and in front of a shop taking donations left by the public. CCTV updated officers en-route that the male had walked down the back of the store with the bolt cutters and so concerned he was attempting to break into the building. 
The offender reappeared later and left in a car to which officers had conducted a covert follow. The vehicle travelled through Sale leading to Wythenshawe before stopping the vehicle on Altrincham Rd, Wythenshawe where he was arrested for attempt burglary and going equipped. The bag of donation was retrieved for the charity shop and contained a floor lamp and xbox games and dvds.
