Operation AVRO returns to Rochdale

Good afternoon Resident,

Operation AVRO has returned to Rochdale for 2025. Operation AVRO is our forcewide monthly blitz on local crime which runs in a different district each month.

This morning, our officers and staff attended an early morning briefing ahead of the operation.

Teams have been across the district from our mounted unit patrols in Rochdale town centre and, officers carrying out patrols across our transport network to a traffic operation on Queensway and warrants in Heywood.

Our teams are deployed across Rochdale, ready to fight crime and tackle the issues that matter most to you.
