Challenger warrants success

On Tuesday 25 March, GMP City of Manchester’s Operation Challenger Unit with assistance from the Tactical Aid Unit (TAU) and your Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out 10 simultaneous warrants at addresses across Longsight, Ardwick and Northmoor.

Seven people were arrested on suspicion of being involved with the supply of class A drugs estimated to have a street value of around £10,000. Zombie knives and a Breitling watch worth £1,800 were also seized in searches.

Programme Challenger is Greater Manchester’s response to tackling serious and organised crime, such as: county lines, exploitation of young children and vulnerable adults, modern slavery, immigration and economic crime, and the use of firearms.
