PC 5549 and PC 4186 were tasked with plain clothed patrols around HEYWOOD particularly the area around HIGHER LOMAX LANE. This was due to recent higher levels of criminality 

On 11/04/2024 into the early hours of 12/04/2024 a vehicle was pulled on SHERBOURNE DRIVE due to the manner of driving. A male and female were on board. Both were detained for searches under S23 MDA.

Following enquiries the male was subsequently arrested for drink drive, possession of class B (cannabis) and both occupants on board were arrested for PWITS – CLASS C due to a large amount of nitrous oxide boxes being found within the vehicle. A large amount of cash was also located and seized.

A further linked vehicle was located within the CASTLETON area and again subsequently more CLASS C nitrous oxide boxes alongside a hammer were located and seized. 

Subsequent house searches uncovered further class B and weighing scales.

Vehicles were also seized.
