Hello everyone, 

Following the concerns relating to speeding which were raised to Neighbourhood Staff whilst doing ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ in both Littleborough and Wardle libraries, we have conducted the first of many Traffic Op's in and around the area. 

Some of you may have seen us out and about yesterday, we were plotted up in several different locations including Lidl in Littleborough, Todmorden Road in Littleborough, Blackstone Edge in Littleborough and Wardle Road. 

Word does tend to spread about these things when we do them via facebook etc. Sometimes this can affect how many tickets are issued, however, ultimately it means speeding is reduced all round. 

A ticket was issued to someone on Blackstone Edge for exceeding the 40mph speed limit. 

We have a couple more ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ events, one on 15th May at Smithybridge Library 12.30-13.30hrs another on 18th July at Milnrow Library 12.00-13.00hrs. Please come along and voice any further concerns which you may have!
