On Saturday 26th April 2025, officers from the GMP Special Constabulary conducted a day of action in the Halliwell area as we continue to make Bolton's roads safer.

 
This operation was conducted in a number of areas around Halliwell, including Brownlow Way, due to reports from the community of speeding and other road traffic offences. As a result of the day of action:

🚗 42 vehicles were stopped and checked
📱  11 drivers were issued with a ticket for using their mobile phone whilst driving
🚫 8 drivers were issued with a ticket for driving without wearing a seat belt 

🚔 4 drivers were issued with a ticket for non-conforming registration plate 

🚨 1 driver was issued with a ticket for driving without insurance

👮🏼‍♂️ 1 driver was arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Class A drugs and failing to stop for Police
