Harwood: Dog Attack

Good Afternoon Resident,

On Friday 9th May 2025, Greater Manchester Police received reports that a dog had been attacked by another dog on the car park of Morrisons in Harwood. Unfortunately, due to the extent of the injuries the attacked dog suffered, it had to be put to sleep.

This week, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have executed a warrant at a house in Harwood and seized a dog in relation to this incident. The dog remains in our secure kennels.

A 57-year-old man remains under investigation for having a dog dangerously out of control.
