Sales of Vapes to Children

Harpurhey Neighbourhood officers received intelligence that three vape shops were selling vapes called ‘Spice Vapes’ to children. Three children had been hospitalised last week following the illegal sale of ‘Spice vapes’ Yesterday the Neighbourhood team removed the dangerous vapes from the three stores and further action will be taken with the courts for selling dangerous substances to Children. The Police and Trading Standards have seized all the dangerous commodities, to prevent any further danger to our communities.

The dangers of vaping for children include Nicotine Addiction, Mental Health Issues, Respiratory Problems, Increased risk of disease and burn injuries and in this case Hospital admission.
