Operation Considerate.

Hello,

Today Neighbourhood Beat Officers along with Student Police Officers and the Road Policing Unit commenced Operation Considerate in Leigh Town Centre. The object of the Operation was to deal with motor vehicles for various driving offences and vehicle checks.

Student officers from Leigh Neighbourhood Team issued 7 traffic offence reports and vehicle defect rectification scheme tickets to motorists for various offences, including seatbelt offences, defective tyres and driving whilst using mobile phones and insecure loads. 

 Todays Operation has potentially prevented road traffic accidents and has also educated some drivers.
