Burglary Suspect Jailed


Good Morning,

 

Iain Dickinson (26/09/1983), of Maine Road, Manchester has been sentenced to 44 months in prison following a series of burglaries in Manchester City Centre. Dickinson was arrested in June 2025 following forensic evidence being recovered from a burglary on Quay Street.

 

Following his arrest he was interviewed and admitted to several additional offences. Dickinson was charged with 7 burglary offences, 1 criminal damage with a further 21 burglaries taken into consideration, bringing the total number of offences to 29. Dickinson was responsible for over £18,000 worth of stolen goods and damages.

 

As well as the 44 month custodial sentence Dickinson has been handed an 8 year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), effective from 6 August 2025, this puts restrictions on his movements and will be supervised. This is a result of excellent collaborative working from many teams and partners including the City of Manchester Central Neighbourhood Crime Team, Longsight and the City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Teams, CSI and Manchester City Council Anti Social Behaviour Team.
