Potential Shoplifter.

Hello,

Earlier today, an Officer from the Leigh Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team was on Lord Street, Leigh when they saw two males, one of which was carrying a large Bag for Life. This male was seen to go into several retail premises and was seen trying to sell items from withing the Bag for Life.

The Officer entered one of the premises just as the 37 year old male was leaving. Inside the bag were several tins of Branded deodorant along with a Branded Giftset valued at £90.

The male stated that he had bought the items before changing this to he got them from his uncle. As he could not convincingly account for the items, the Officer Seized them and has booked them into the Police property just in case this chap can produce proof of purchase, in that case, he can gladly have the items back along with an apology. He was then sent on his merry way.

Also, I would just like to say Thank You to the member of the public that assisted, it is so good to know that there are people out there that are willing to help the Police.
