This Saturday 14th and Sunday 15 February 2026, we’re delighted to celebrate Chinese New Year in Chinatown Manchester together — welcoming the Year of the Horse 🐎
In Chinese culture, the Horse symbolises energy, resilience, confidence and forward momentum. It’s a year associated with community spirit, hard work, and looking out for one another — values that truly reflect the heart of Chinatown and the people who make it special.
Our neighbourhood officers will be attending throughout the celebrations. We’ll be there to help keep everyone safe, but most importantly to celebrate alongside you. Please feel free to come and say hello, take photos with us, and chat — we’re always happy to meet residents, families, visitors and local businesses.
