Good morning Resident, The Ashton Hurst Neighbourhood Team are currently working with partners agencies as part of the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee, regarding low level Anti-Social-Behaviour (ASB) around Springfield Street (off Kings Road) involving a number of youths who are believed to be targeting a specific resident or street.
We are reaching out to raise awareness about the growing impact that low‑level antisocial behaviour can have on our community. While these behaviours may seem minor on the surface—things like shouting in public spaces, littering, gathering in large groups, or showing disrespect to others—they can quickly build into issues that affect the wellbeing of everyone who lives here. These small actions can: Reduce people’s confidence in using shared spacesIncrease tension between groups within the communityLead to more serious behaviour if not addressed earlyAffect the overall sense of safety and pride in our neighbourhoodFor young people, these patterns can also lead to more serious consequences if not addressed early.
We are asking for your support (especially during this spring half-term) in speaking with your children about the importance of positive behaviour when they are out in the community. Encouraging respect for others, awareness of surroundings, and responsible decision‑making helps keep our neighbourhood a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Thank you for working with us to promote a community where all families feel safe, supported, and proud to live. See our ASB action plan by clicking here Greater Manchester Police ASB action plan |
