Cannabis Cultivation

We’re asking residents to stay alert for signs of suspicious activity or possible cannabis cultivation at nearby properties. Warning signs can include strong unusual smells, blacked‑out windows, constant noise from fans, excessive condensation, unusual electrical wiring, or properties that appear unoccupied but have frequent short visits at odd hours.

Cannabis farms are dangerous. Illegal electrics and water systems greatly increase the risk of fire, flooding and explosions, putting neighbouring homes at serious risk. Those involved can face prison sentences, criminal records and seizure of assets.

If something doesn’t look right, don’t approach the property or those involved. Report concerns to police on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. If there’s immediate danger, always call 999.
