Chinatown Policing Update 🚓

Officers have continued proactive patrols and targeted operations in the Chinatown area to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB).

This morning, officers arrested a male on suspicion of possessing a bladed article after he was found concealing a knife 🔪. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

Throughout the operation, several individuals involved in ASB were stopped and searched under Section 23 powers. Work is also ongoing to address repeat issues, with Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) currently being prepared for key individuals linked to persistent ASB at the Pagoda.

Officers will maintain a visible presence in Chinatown over the coming days 👮‍♂️ to deter offending and provide reassurance. A coordinated Day of Action is also planned for Thursday 📅, bringing together partners and resources to further disrupt crime and reduce ASB.
