Dear Resident,
Greater Manchester Police are currently engaged in Operation Sceptre which is a week long Operation to tackle Knife Crime. During Operation Sceptre in Greater Manchester, you’ll typically see:
Operation Sceptre is basically a nationwide crackdown and awareness campaign on knife crime, where GMP steps up activity for a week to: Even outside that week, GMP says they continue similar work all year, but Sceptre is when it’s more visible and intensive. Members of the Leigh Neighbourhood Policing Team have today been out in the Higher Folds area of Leigh. On this occasion, no knives were recovered however, Officers were approached by various members of the public where information was passed to the Police about various subjects that are of interest to the Police.
