Rochdale Town Centre – Police Activity Update

Officers carried out two separate interventions in Rochdale town centre as part of ongoing work to keep the area safe.

In one incident, a 50-year-old man was searched by officers, resulting in the seizure of two gas canisters. Due to behaviour causing concern to members of the public, he was escorted out of the town centre.

In a separate incident, a 37-year-old man was stopped and searched under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. He was found to be in possession of cannabis. The drugs were seized, and a cannabis warning was issued.

These actions form part of continued policing activity aimed at maintaining a safe and secure environment for the community.
