We’ve recently received reports of individuals going door-to-door offering to carry out rubbish removal and tree surgery work.

While some traders may be legitimate, we want to remind residents to stay vigilant when dealing with anyone who turns up uninvited.

⚠️ Things to watch out for:

✅ How to protect yourself:

🌿 Tree work reminder: Qualified tree surgeons should be properly insured and trained. Poor work can be dangerous and costly to fix.

🚛 Waste disposal reminder: If your waste is fly-tipped after collection, you could still be held responsible if you didn’t check who was taking it.

📞 If you feel threatened or suspect illegal activity, please report it to Greater Manchester Police via 101 or Action Fraud / your local council where appropriate.
