Busy Day In the Northern Quarter Leads to Three Arrests

Good Evening all from the NQ Team,

Our team wishes to offer some reassurance regarding what can only been stated to be a busy day in the Northern Quarter for our team who had rushed out early on in relation to reports of an ongoing disturbance in the area.

At the time PC Widdup from our Robbery Tasking Team had come across three known males involved in a physical altercation. This led to our team consisting of PC Barnwell, PC Hunt and PC Sutcliffe heading to assist. At the time PC Widdup has requested assistance leading to officer PC Barnwell sprinting on foot to the location with officer PC Hunt and PC Sutcliffe to offer vehicular support in which after an audacious trip from Town Hall to the scene of the incident PC Barnwell has detained a male previously known to the Northern Quarter area for previous drug dealing offences. This male has been arrested with a further male involved also known for drug supply in the area currently spending the evening in custody after quickly being detained.

Our day continued this afternoon on Stevenson Square for reports of an aggressive and intoxicated male causing a disturbance in / outside of FLOK in the Northern Quarter. PC Barnwell and PC Hunt again have quickly left custody to assist where after hopeless attempts try and hide from officers amongst members of the public the male was detained and placed in handcuffs by PC Barnwell. Unfortunately for our intoxicated friend his actions and behaviour towards officers and members of the public have led him spending an evening in custody also.

Our team from B relief will remain as your early patrols through the weekend heading in tomorrow.

We wish you a lovely weekend from the Team!
