Celebrating Safely: Firework Night, Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas |

Good Morning
Tonight we have Firework Night, followed over the weekend by Diwali, the Festival of Lights, and Bandi Chhor Divas, the Sikh celebration of freedom, justice and liberation. As communities come together to mark these important occasions and celebrate light, hope, freedom and togetherness, it is important that everyone stays safe.
If you are attending events, visiting family and friends, or taking part in celebrations, please remain vigilant and look out for those around you. If you see anything suspicious or concerning, report it to the police. In an emergency, always call 999.
If you are using fireworks:
🎆 Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions 🎆 Only use fireworks responsibly and in appropriate locations 🎆 Never throw fireworks or use them in a way that could endanger others 🎆 Keep fireworks away from people, vehicles, buildings and animals 🎆 Ensure children are supervised at all times
We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour involving fireworks, including misuse that puts people at risk, causes distress to local communities, or results in criminal damage. Anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour or criminal activity should report it to us.
Have a safe, peaceful and enjoyable Firework Night, Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.
Thank you
